We are Lorraine & Kelly, friends for more than 20 years.

At Best Buds Flowers, we are excited to turn our dreams of owning a small business into reality, specialising in event flowers that enhance the beauty of your special occasions.

We also invite you to join us for one of our cosy workshops, where you can learn the art of floral arrangement in your own vase, creating stunning hand-tied bouquets or elegant table centers. See our events page for details.

Our style is naturally elegant, drawing inspiration from nature, and we proudly source mostly British flowers to keep our practice sustainable and local. We’re dedicated to making your events truly special with our personalised floral designs.

Lorraine

My husband, Tim & I, built a house in Monkmead Lane, West Chiltington in 1999. We have lived in the same house for 25 years & have 2 grown-up daughters.

In 2000 I was offered the job as a PGA golf professional at West Chiltington Golf Club. I spent many happy years here coaching local residents, many of whom I still keep in touch with. After 23 years of coaching, I lost my love for golf & ventured out to pastures new. I dabbled in gardening, decorating, picture framing & eventually ended up working for Arun Vets. Although I loved my time at the vets, I had a major health scare in Oct 2023 which made me think very differently about my future. This is when my 'best bud' Kelly suggested doing a floristry course. I jumped at the chance because life is about taking chances, having dreams and doing something you love

I have lived in West Chiltington with my Family for the last 14 years. Our boys are grown up and making their way in the world, we have always told them both to find something they love and follow their dreams. So, having been an accountant for more years than I would like to admit and not really loving it, I thought it is time I took some of my own advice. So, embracing my creative side, I retrained to do something that I love with my 'Best Bud'. It's now or never!
